Currently it is run entirely by volunteers who act as company directors, board members, coaches, team managers and administrators. The Club competes in various leagues across the region and also nationally. There are competitions available to athletes of any standard: from junior and senior novices and developing athletes in the SW League and the SAL. We encourage all our members to compete, it’s a great way to measure your improved performance and every point helps the club to maintain its position in the various leagues. The City of Plymouth Athletics Club has its home at the Brickfields Complex, Raglan Road, Devonport, Plymouth, in the Southwest of England. Owned originally by the Royal Navy, the facilities were refurbished in 2021 with a new 6 lane track being re-laid, new announcers hut and a perimeter fence erected thanks to Plymouth City Council investment. We provide coaching in cross-country, endurance and track and field events for all abilities from the age of five to veterans. All our coaches and officials are England Athletic (EA) qualified and hold an enhanced DBS. We are a member of the Armada network of local running clubs and encourage all our members to compete in whatever capacity they can.The club has helped produce many outstanding athletes, some who have gained National and International honours at senior and junior levels of competition.We are a voluntary organisation and dependent on the goodwill of our coaches, volunteers and helpers.

SOUTH MOLTON STRUGGLERS: Our mixed ability/mixed aged running club is based in the small Devon town of South Molton and specialises in road and cross country running. We are a friendly and welcoming club who cater for all runners, from beginners through to the more advanced competitors, tailoring our club nights to improve the individual runner whilst maintaining the enjoyment of running as part of a group. We meet at 7pm every Wednesday* in the Pannier Market, South Molton. If you would like to meet us and take part in a running session, please feel free to come along. SOUTH WEST ROAD RUNNERS: Welcome to South West Road Runners, one of the largest and friendliest running clubs in Devon. We were formed in 1984 primarily as a road running club, but since moving to our present location at Exeter Arena in 1992 the club has seen a broadening of its activities to include cross country, trail, and fell running. We currently have around three hundred members including junior runners from age eight years upwards. We pride ourselves on being as inclusive as we can be. We have trained coaches to lead track sessions, and run leaders to suit all abilities and running requirements including guide leaders for Visually Impaired (VI) runners. We offer a warm welcome to all, and count amongst our number a whole range of abilities, from those who want nothing more than a social jog around town, right up to county representatives and international Age Group Duathlon and Triathlon runners.

TAVISTOCK ATHLETIC CLUB: The club was formed in 1985 and now has over 300 members across our Junior (8 years +) and Senior groups. We have a variety of training groups and committed coaches that can cater for all abilities from raw beginners to the more experienced and ambitious athletes. We pride ourselves on being a friendly club and new members, whatever their ability, are always welcome. We are very fortunate in that we have great local facilities for training: – A well maintained 400 metre track which provides an excellent opportunity for training and hosting track and field events – and of course our surroundings, Dartmoor. We hold training sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings and also on a Saturday morning. TEIGNBRIDGE TROTTERS: Teignbridge Trotters are a friendly Newton Abbot based running club, attracting members from all over South Devon and beyond. We cater for all abilities, whether you are an experienced runner or absolute beginner. We concentrate on mainly road and off road running, along with a Winter Cross Country league.Training takes place from Newton Abbot Recreational Trust, Newton Abbot (TQ12 2AR) on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7.00pm sharp. Anyone wishing to come along for the first time is more than welcome. Please take a look at the sessions available and choose one suitable to your standard of running.
